Scott Yoo
(Ph. D), CEO/CTO
Dr. Scott Yoo has over 16 years of experience in the semiconductor and
system technology industries. He has been a pioneer in numerous memory
and digital chip research and development projects at Samsung
Electronics and IBM, where he was awarded the Grand-prize of Technical
Excellence and Outstanding Research Achievement Awards for the
contribution to the development of 256Mb DRAM and high speed serial
communication chips, respectively.
Dr. Yoo earned Ph. D. in Electrical Engineering from University of
Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2001. He has published more than 25
technical papers and holds over 20 U.S. patents.
Steve Law (Ph. D),
Executive Vice President of Business Development
Dr. Law has over 28 years of engineering and management experience in
hardware, software and ASIC development. Over the past nine years, he
held Executive Vice President and Vice President positions at XVD
Corporation, TRB, Alaris Corporation and Optivision with
responsibilities ranging from product manufacturing, ASIC and product
development, chip production, development of high-end video/audio
encoding and decoding systems and OEM sales. In 1990, Dr. Law
co-founded and served as COO of Aptix Corp., where he was responsible
for the invention and development of the FPIC programmable interconnect
systems. From 1983 to 1990 he was a co-founder and R&D director
at Cadence Design Systems. Starting his career at Bell Labs, Dr. Law
invented the Gate Matrix approach to IC design and layout, co-invented
Domino CMOS logic, and was a key designer of the first 32-bit CMOS
microprocessors. In 2000, he received the prestigious IEEE Solid-State
Circuits Award for IC design innovations and their impacts to the IC
Design field. Dr. Law received a BS, MS, M Phil, and PhD all in EE from
Columbia University in New York.
Mickey Choi, VP of Memory
Engineering
Mickey Choi has over 14 years of experience in research &
development of semiconductor memory chips and systems. He currently
leads the technology and product development efforts for mobile
memories and logic designs at ZMOS Technology.
Prior to joining ZMOS, Mickey Choi developed an array of memories such
as 32Mb
1T SRAM, 4Mb to 64Mb SDRAM, 8 & 16Mb SGRAM (Synchronous
Graphics
RAM), and 2Mb VRAM (Video RAM) at AMIC Technology, Inc and Samsung
Electronics. He also led development of MML (Merged Memory Logic)
Products such as PRINCEVELLE & C69000 (16Mb SDRAM + Graphic
controller) as part of the System LSI group of Samsung Electronics.
Cecil Conkle, Marketing Director
Before joining ZMOS Technology, Cecil Conkle
spent over 26 years in engineering, marketing, and management in the
semiconductor industry. His current responsibility is the
marketing of the company’s products and technology.
Previously he designed a variety of DRAMs, SRAMs, and ROMs for Advanced
Micro Devices and American Microsystems using NMOS, CMOS, and VMOS
technologies. Then he managed technical, tactical, and
strategic marketing functions for memory products at NEC Electronics
and Mitsubishi Electronics. Past industry affiliations
include IEEE, JEDEC, and Advanced Memory International.
Cecil Conkle’s degrees are from Georgia Tech and Stanford
University. He holds patents in circuitry for
semiconductor memory products and gate
arrays.
Justin Kim, President of
Korea Subsidiary
Justin Kim has over 12 years of Research and Development experience in
semiconductor memory chips. He is in charge of development of mobile
memory products at ZMOS Korea, LLC.
Prior to joining the company, Justin Kim led the development and mass
production of 4Mb
to 32Mb CCSRAM (Compact Cell SRAM) at Silicon 7, Inc. in Korea. He also
managed the 16Mb EDO, 16Mb & 64Mb Synchronous DRAM projects at
Samsung Electronics.

Steve Kang (Ph. D),
Chairman
Dr. Kang has over 30 years of R&D experience in semiconductor
chips and systems. He received a PhD degree in Electrical Engineering
from the University of California at Berkeley in 1975. He started his
career with AT&T Bell Laboratories and also served as a faculty
member of Rutgers University. In 1985, he joined the University of
Illinois at Urbana- Champaign where he held many positions, most
recently as Head of the Department of Electrical & Computer
Engineering. In January 2001, he joined the University of California at
Santa Cruz as Dean of Baskin School of Engineering. Dr. Kang became
Chancellor of the University of California at Merced in 2007.
Dr. Kang is Fellow of IEEE, ACM and AAAS, a Foreign Member of National
Academy of Engineering of Korea, and is listed in the Who's Who in
America, Who's Who in Technology, Who's Who in Engineering and Who's
Who in Midwest. Most recently he is recipient of the Outstanding
Alumnus Award in Electrical Engineering, UC Berkeley (2001), IEEE Third
Millennium Medal Circuits Society Distinguished Lecturer (2003-
Present) and holds 11 patents from U.S. Patent Office. Dr. Kang has
published over 350 papers and co-authored eight books in the last 15
years.
Tae Ki Chung, Director
Mr. Chung has over 30 years of executive experience in
Telecommunications and Publishing. He is currently CEO and Publisher of
the Hankyoreh Daily Newspaper in Seoul, Korea. Mr. Chung has a
Bachelors of Art Degree of Law from Seoul National University.
Deok-Soo Kim, Director
Mr. Kim has over 17 years of experience in the investment
industry. He founded the KVC Net and KVC
Investment companies in 1999 and 2000 and currently serves in both as
the CEO. Mr. Kim has a BS in Industrial Engineering from
Seoul National University and a Master's degree in Industrial
Engineering from Korea Advanced
Institute of Science Technology.
Sancho
Park, Director
Mr. Park has over 20 years of experience in the EDA and electronics
industries in Korea. Most recently he was Vice President of Korea IT
Venture Partners, the leading Korean venture capital firm for the
Information Technology, semiconductor, and electronics industries, and
serves as a board member there now. Previously, he was a founder and
the President of Davan Tech Co., Ltd., a provider of design automation
solutions and the largest SoC design company in Korea. Mr. Park has
held management positions at Synopsys, a leading design automation
company, Valid Logic Systems (which became Cadence after a merger) and
Hewlett-Packard and worked for the Electronics &
Telecommunications Research Institute in Korea. Mr. Park has a BS in
Information & Telecommunication Engineering from Hoseo
University and an MS in Computer Science and an MBA from Ajou
University.
Alex C. Wang (Ph. D), Director
Dr. Wang has over 26 years of experience in semiconductor
memory
business. His prior positions encompass product design,
development,
process technology, marketing, and executive management for
semiconductors in general, particularly including DRAMs,
flash memories, and SRAMs. Currently he is Vice President of
Product
Strategy at Powerchip Semiconductor Corp. (PSC) in Hsinchu, Taiwan.
Previously he was the General Manager of the Memory Group at
Winbond Electronics in Hsinchu and CEO of the design house Programmable
Microelectronics Corp. in San Jose. Dr. Wang has also held
engineering
positions
at Samsung, Intel, and Fairchild.
Dr. Wang is currently serving as Chair of the JSTC (Joint Steering
Committee) of the WSC (World Semiconductor Council) representing TSIA
(Taiwan Semiconductor Industry Association). He received his
BS
in Physics from National Taiwan University, Taipei and his PhD in
Physics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1984.

Larry Yoshida, Director
Mr. Yoshida has over 38 years of experience in the Japanese
semiconductor
industry.
His responsibilities have included sales and general management. After
designing power transformers for eight years at Osaka Transformer
Corporation, he joined Tokyo Electron Ltd. in 1968. Mr.
Yoshida retired as CEO and President in 1986. He then founded
Innotech, made it a public company in 1991, and retired as
CEO and Chairman in 2005. Mr. Yoshida next founded Premier
Technologies, Inc. and currently serves as the Chairman of the Board.
His degree is in Power Electricity from Osaka Prefecture University.
